Fat nose of pure fruit with a line of oak woven through it. In the mouth this is shows oak and sweet fruit. Really big wine with a dense palate. Very straight forward and one dimensional.

100% Garnacha 16% ABV This sort of wine is difficult for me to understand. I appreciate its beauty, power and depth, but I cannot place its role or position in what strikes me as the natural place for wine: with food and company. I can see how it will give rise to conversation (and get its drinkers drunk on the massive 16% alcohol alone), but what do I eat with something that is, in itself, already a meal? Apart from the fact it'll set you back about €110... You can't avoid the Garnacha (Grenache) soaring from the glass: huge fruit, smokiness and a heady, animal exuberance. On the palate it's chewy, jammy, tannic and has the longest finish of all the wines I tasted on this day. It's... plus
